Meet the Doctor

Thomas E. Horton, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Thomas E. Horton grew up in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Master of Science in Neuropharmacology at Northeastern University, and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University. He completed his orthodontics residency at Georgetown University Medical Center and has been in private practice since 1984.

Dr. Horton maintains active memberships in various prestigious, professional organizations in order to stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in orthodontics. He has received numerous awards, including the American Association of Orthodontists’ award for Facial Growth Interest. Dr. Horton is the President of the Maryland/DC Damon Study Club. He has given multiple lectures to school children on the importance of maintaining oral health, and he is credited with starting the Braces Club at St. Jane DeChantal School in Bethesda.

Dr. Horton gives back to his community by participating with several charitable organizations including: serving as a Georgetown Preparatory School Parents Board Member, Co-Chair of Georgetown Preparatory School Annual Gala and working with Rebuilding Together Montgomery County.

Outside the office, Dr. Horton has great interest in cooking because his grandfather was a chef, and he loves to try new recipes. He also enjoys playing golf and watching his son, Thomas, a member of the Villanova University men’s crew team.
